I have had a varied life, working in London, and have also worked as a dresser in the theatre in Watford. Moving to Kettering, I went into business in the catering trade, running a sandwich bar/cafe. On retiring, I became a part time taxi driver for special needs children, and then had time to write my first novel. I love oil painting and cooking, and looking after my Labrador. Visiting the coast with my partner and my dog is always so peaceful, and gives me some extra time to write.

Bob and Cynthia are devastated when their baby is stillborn. The arrival of the family from hell only adds to Cynthia’s despair especially as the woman is pregnant. But Cynthia becomes pregnant again and all is well until tragedy strikes once more. She decides to move to a remote part of the country but 2weeks after her baby is born, there is a cot death. Hardly able to cope, she decides to steal next doors baby as it is neglected, as are all their children. Moving swiftly to her new house, Cynthia is terrified when someone starts blackmailing her saying they know who she is and what she’s done. Will Cynthia ever find contentment or is she about to lose another baby?
